A Love letter to Bartlesville -
When we opened our doors in 2020, we had no clue what we were doing! 🥹We made some candles and quickly discovered that Bartlesville was really missing candles and wax melts! It was something that had been gone for a while. We also learned that there was also an incredible market for handcrafted, locally made products. We became a business incubator to over 75 mom and pop businesses starting or growing their brands over the years. Some have grown and opened their own shops, restaurants and some have decided it wasn't for them. We let God lead us where we needed to be and have followed his guidance ever since. We grew, and grew some more. We talked about how great it would be if there were similar markets in every town.
Over the years, hundreds of people have taken our candle classes, shopped our Artisan Mercantile, and told their friends. We've said yes to every donation request that came our way whether you shopped with us or not. We've hosted countless BINGO nights, fundraisers, Veterans Holiday Dinners - and made some incredible forever friends along the way.
When the candle factory just outside town reopened, and several other local small candle companies have opened. With the uptick of farm hubs you can look around and see more local shops carrying locally made handcrafted goods. We realize that our hope for our beautiful town has come to fruition!!
For the last six to eight months, while our shop has been struggling with little to no retail sales, our candle brand continues to thrive and grow. That the job God had for us is coming to a close. As we continue to listen to him and redefine our path forward - please, please come support the local artisans in our shop. We have 8 months left on our lease and REALLY need your help and support so we can pay the rent. We've got some great stuff in the works for fall and the holidays - so please come see us!
Love,
The Taylors ❤
