Welcome Tim Hill (Vocals, Guitar) and Paul Schlesinger (Vocals, Fiddle, Mandolin) back to the Market, as they celebrate Music at Market from 10am to Noon THIS SATURDAY, Free Concert! Tim and Paul's music is a delightful mixture of country, classic rock, folk, and vintage popular tunes. The Market is located at 1302 Chestnut Street, Bastrop, next to the west side of the Convention Center and across from City Hall. No charge to attend and our FARMERS MARKET is also open from 10am to 2pm with an abundance of fresh local foods.

The debate on cows is interesting. A cow does produce 3.3 metric tons of footprint a year. A car is 4.6. But each cow grazes, manures and helps regenerate a min of 5 acres (and more in some parts of the country) and each acre sequesters between a third a ton and a half a ton of Co2 annually. There are 29 million cows and 290 million cars. Our view? Support local producers at your farmers markets. Those cows are eating the grass in your area that might burn...❤

Scented Pleasures Gifts mission is simple: to provide the best handcrafted bath and body products at a reasonable price along with great customer service.

Dolores Svoboda Leeper started making soaps and candles when she joined a farmers market 15 years ago and wanted products she could sell year round. She s one of the three remaining founding members of this Market! Since she had a background selling fragrances and cosmetics, she decided to create products for body and home that both smelled wonderful and were safe and nourishing. That's why she only uses simple natural ingredients such as olive oil, essential herbal oils and goat’s milk in her products.

Dolores shared : " Now that the first real cold front is blowing in and my greenhouse has been closed up, thoughts of winter business with all the events ahead and so many soaps and candles for me to make for Scented Pleasures Gifts! "

It's not only winter business that will keep Dolores busy - she is also Secretary for the Board of the Market, Treasurer, and a huge part of Market promotions!

Stop in and see Dolores any Saturday at the Market. Hers is the first booth on the right as you walk in the door!
