Today was our last day at CPE, and it was a wonderful way to wrap up an incredible conference.

We started the morning with another time of worship led by Babbie Mason. I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of hearing her sing! Our morning devotion was shared by Glenna Marshall, and her message was such an encouragement—a beautiful reminder that God is our faithful Provider.

After that, we headed back to the show floor for one last day of connecting with vendors, discovering new products, and wrapping up the conference. Today also happened to be the America 250 celebration, and everyone was invited to dress up. The costumes were absolutely fabulous and made the day even more fun!

Now we’re at the airport, tired but thankful, and ready to head home. We’re grateful for all we learned, the wonderful people we met, and the opportunity to serve our customers even better because of this experience.

Monday at CPE was another busy and inspiring day!

We started the morning with wonderful worship led by the fabulous Babbie Mason. Then Annie F. Downs shared an encouraging message about why Christian bookstores are so important and the impact they continue to have in people’s lives.

Next, the show floor opened, and I spent the day talking with reps, catching up with vendors, and discovering new products for the store. (Sorry there aren’t many pictures today, I was in full business mode! 😁 I promise I’ll take more photos tomorrow!)

Meanwhile, McKinley and Grandpa (Bill) managed to sneak away for a friendly game of Tetris Tumble. I think it’s safe to say they enjoyed a little break from all the business!

After the evening banquet, we were blessed with a presentation from Randy Alcorn and music from Leanna Crawford. It was the perfect way to end another wonderful day at CPE.

Looking forward to seeing what tomorrow brings!

Another great day at the CPE Convention!

We started the morning with an incredible time of praise and worship led by Babbie Mason, followed by a powerful devotional from Brant Hanson. His message on anxiety was such a great reminder that we don’t have to carry the weight of worry because God already knows our future and has our lives in His hands.

The rest of the day was packed with learning! We attended workshops on children’s books and fiction, followed by retail breakout sessions. One highlight for me was having the opportunity to be one of the presenters. It was a little nerve-racking, but such a rewarding experience to share with fellow Christian booksellers.

We wrapped up the evening with the banquet, where we heard from John James, one of the original lead singers of the Newsboys from the ’90s. It was a privilege to hear his story and even spend a few minutes talking with him afterward.

To top it all off, I also got to meet former MLB player Scott Spiezio. I don’t really follow baseball, but I know my brother-in-law is a big fan, so I couldn’t resist sending him a picture to make him just a little jealous! 😄

Grateful for another day filled with encouragement, learning, new friendships, and unforgettable experiences. Looking forward to what tomorrow brings!

Yesterday started bright and early with a 6:15 a.m. flight to St. Louis! Dad, McKinley, and I are attending our Bookseller Conference, and it’s already been a great experience.

After an afternoon meeting and dinner at a local BBQ restaurant, we were treated to a fun carnival-style evening complete with great food, a concert by Tammy Trent, and even a petting zoo! EVEN IN THE RAIN 🌧️

The night ended with getting my book signed by Tammy Trent and trying my luck at the dunking booth. (Sorry I didn’t get a picture of the poor guy I dunked! 😁)

Looking forward to another great day of learning, connecting, and bringing back fresh ideas for Living Room Books & Gifts!
