It’s weird I know. I’ve been rescuing Baby Jesus from thrift shops for approx 25 years. Only when he is found alone. If he is with the whole family he stays that way. I most often find him in mixed bags of trinkets and toys. I get him out and redonate the toys back. I do love to rescue old nativity sets from estates and thrifts too and guess what … they are often missing the Baby Jesus. So then I can complete the set with one of my rescues. My theory is that kids pulled the baby to play with and that’s how he gets separated so often and is found in bags of toys.

SAVE THE DATE ❗️❗️❗️Next Saturday and Sunday Aug 8th and 9th is the Warehouse 55 huge and famously fabulous Parking Lot Garage Sale. This is an event you truly do not want to miss out on. The once a year event where all of the shop vendors bring tons of bargain priced goods to the parking lot for the two day sale. The prices can’t be beat. I know hubby and I will be bringing a car full and so will most everyone else. We love this sale because it allows us to clean out our shed, overflow inventory and projects we never got to. We price it all to move quickly and guess what??? If it does not sell Saturday it is further reduced 50% on Sunday. This sale will be held in the big shop parking lot on Flinn Street. When you are done scooping up deals outside make sure to visit inside the shop to see all of the fresh finds arriving daily! Thanks for supporting the shop and our small business!! Please help us get the word out about the sale if you can. Thanks 🙏 😘🙏

A very little known fact about me … I once had such a compulsive addiction to reading as a young girl of around 8 or 9 that I would stay up until around 3 am every night kneeling on the floor by the night light to finish books. I was finally caught by my parents who probably wondered why I had raccoon eyes and could not stay awake during daylight hours. Away went the night light. Now my book compulsion has expanded to include decorating with them. There is no end to how wonderful books are! I just added some great old ones to our Warehouse 55 booth late today.

We just dropped off a trunk full of fresh finds for our Warehouse 55 space. Happy Sunday!
