Love playing tiny bookshop?

Us too. 🎃📚

We’ve added spooky decor to increase horror sales, equipped Goosebumps with his seasonal skeleton skin, and boosted the shop’s overall ✨haunted ambiance✨.
This little bookshop is Moira coded, and hopefully Maryam approved. 🤞🤞🤞

Current stats:
+10 Horror
+5 Cozy
+20 Tiny Bookshop
+100 Goosebumps

Come check out Archives IRL and see if the seasonal decor buff works. 💀🪿👻

🏛️ Retelling Tuesday: Ithaca by Claire North

Because we didn’t think the movie did our girl Penelope justice.

Odysseus is off having an odyssey. Meanwhile, Penelope is home running a kingdom, raising a son, fending off an army of increasingly obnoxious suitors, and trying to keep Ithaca from falling apart.

You know. The little things.

Ithaca takes a familiar myth and shifts the spotlight toward the women who were always there — scheming, surviving, ruling, and generally getting far less credit than the men sailing around fighting monsters.

Pick this one up if you enjoy:
🏺 Greek mythology retellings
👑 Women quietly holding everything together
⚔️ Political maneuvering
🔥 Familiar stories from a very different angle
🙄 Penelope deserving considerably more screen time

Bonus: this one checks off the remix/reimagining prompt in the Archives Reading Challenge.

Odysseus had his turn.

We’re listening to Penelope now.

✊ Labor Day: What the Boss Doesn’t Want Us to Know: Discovering Power and Winning Campaigns

Seems like the right day to talk about who actually has the power at work.

What the Boss Doesn’t Want Us to Know is about understanding workplace power, organizing effectively, and turning frustration into collective action. It’s practical, political, and very much in the spirit of Labor Day.

Pick this one up if you enjoy:
🛠️ Labor history and organizing
✊ Workers knowing their worth
📣 Collective action
🧠 Understanding how power actually works
🔥 Books that give you something to do with your righteous anger

Bonus: this one also checks off the small press prompt in the Archives Reading Challenge, thanks to our friends at PM Press.

Don’t forget! All of PM Press books are now 3 for 35$

For Labor Day, we’re reading about the people who make everything run.

And what happens when they realize it.

📚 Sticker Sunday: Make Atwood Fiction Again

A tiny sticker. A very large mood.

For anyone who has read The Handmaid’s Tale, looked around for a second, and thought: wow, this is feeling a little less speculative than advertised.

Perfect for:
📖 Margaret Atwood readers
😬 Nervous laughter
🔥 Dystopian fiction fans
💻 Laptops, water bottles, notebooks, and emotional support clipboards
👀 People who would really prefer the cautionary tale remain cautionary 👀👀👀👀

Make Atwood fiction again.

Please.
