We’ve been preparing this post for a while now—but putting it into words still feels impossible.

This shop has been a big part of our lives for over a decade. A place to create, to connect, to belong. And while the time has come to say goodbye, it’s not a decision we made lightly—or without heartbreak.

We built Hearth & Hammer with the hope that it could be more than a business. And thanks to you, it became exactly that.

As we begin this final chapter, we’re asking for your support one last time. Whether you’ve been with us since day one or just discovered us last week, we’d love for you to be part of our closing months. Come shop, share a memory and experience H&H one last time before our final day on Saturday, May 31st.

Let’s finish this the way we started—together.

Love seeing the way this town supports each other and shows up for human rights. 🏳️‍⚧️

You know friends there are times in my life when my personal opinions/beliefs and my business life have met head-on...today is one such time and I cannot be silent.

Currently there is an individual -- a coward in my opinion because they are shielding their identity -- standing outside of our little shop holding a sign that is upsetting and offensive to me and many in our community.

So let me be clear, should there be any ambiguity as to what I, Bridget Johnson, Co-owner of Red Hive Market believes:

🍂 One Week from Today- Embrace the Magic of Fall 🍂

Enjoy an enchanting evening at the Autumn Lantern Walk on Thursday, October 3rd from 4-7pm. Wander a beautifully illuminated path throughout Downtown Batavia and immerse yourself in the cozy charm of the season.

📍 The walk begins at either Wilson Street Mercantile (222 E Wilson S) or Hearth & Hammer (160 First Street). From there a lantern-lit path will lead you through the heart of Downtown Batavia, guiding you to discover its hidden gems of cozy restaurants and charming shops.
