Blue Wave is looking for a motivated individual to pick and process orders for shipment and/or process and put away receiving inventory with either a Reach Truck, Fork Truck or PE rider. The Company is experiencing rapid growth and provides the candidate with the opportunity to advance personally and professionally.
Blue Wave Products, based in Batavia, Illinois, is an industry leading consumer products company specializing in supplying online retainers with pool, patio and outdoor living products, home saunas and spa accessories, outdoor games, and game room products.
Essential Functions
• Pick, pack, strap, and kit orders
• Read, understand, and follow instructions on a pick ticket and packing slip
• Confirm the correct item quantity was picked
• Pack product using bubble wrap or packing paper to minimize the chance of product damaged during shipment
• Apply customer compliant labels to cartons in preparation for shipment
• Operate a Reach Truck, Fork Truck or PE rider (depending on duties assigned)
• Palletize cartons and shrink wrap pallets in preparation for shipment
• Stay current on all warehouse training to promote a safe working environment
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse. This includes sweeping, straightening, and organizing cartons, removing empty pallets
Receiving Function
• Unload inbound containers. Items can already be palletized or may require hand unloading of cartons that are then stacked on pallets. The use of a shrink wrap machine is required once pallets are processed for receipt
• Operate a Reach Truck, Fork Truck (depending on duties assigned)
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse. This includes sweeping, straightening, and organizing cartons, removing empty pallets
• Follow all inbound and put-away procedures

Education And Experience
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• 1 to 3 years of previous experience operating a Reach Truck, PE Rider or Sit-down Fork Truck
• 1 to 3 years of experience working with a warehouse management system strongly preferred

Working Conditions/ Physical Demands
• Walking, lifting, bending, standing
• Longer Periods of operating material handling equipment
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Must be able to work overtime on shorter notice
