I hope that everyone has put their tents away dry after last weekend! But just in case you find yourself with a situation that needs to be remediated, we have the answers to help. Set your tent up give it a rinse with a garden hose (DO NOT USE A PRESSURE WASHER) and light brush to remove any too dirt. Then mix up the IOSSO into your pump sprayer. Spray your effected areas, broom, let sit for a bit and rinse. Repeat as necessary. Should you need to rewaterproof, we have Nikwax Cotton Proof. Home safe and almost dry from Galesburg Heritage Days 2026 aptly named “Camp Hell or High Water”. I have heard reports of right around 12” of rain fell over the course of four days but I haven’t looked up the official numbers. I know that I had water over the tops of my feet, in our tent, four nights in a row! I CAN say that I already have the dehumidifier in the trailer to start the drying out process. There was actually a good turnout for campers and public in spite of my folks coming to visit camp stating that their basements had flooded!

What’s on Jim’s table? I cut up 32 kilos of h**p rope and oak 1x into 275 rope slides. I spent the day preparing all of these components for making up the tent ropes for 11 marquees. Attention!!! Hot out of the blacksmith’s shop! Ridge sleeves are back in stock! Side note…. (There are no wedge brackets.)

Ridge sleeves will allow you to split your 2x4 ridge for ease of transport. These ridge sleeves come painted and predrilled for two pins that are included.
