🎬 Small Town. Big History.

In a time when multiplex theaters across the country are struggling and many historic movie houses have disappeared, Batesville is fortunate to still have a true treasure right here on our Batesville Main Street.

Built in 1921, The Gibson Theatre has been entertaining generations of families for more than a century and is recognized as one of Indiana’s oldest continuously operating first-run theaters. What an incredible gift for a small town to have such a historic landmark still lighting up our downtown and bringing our community together. 

Tomorrow night, movie time moves to 8:00 pm with a showing of Masters of the Universe, making it a fun addition to your Couples Night Out plans. Grab dinner downtown, stroll through our local shops, and cap off the evening with a movie in one of Indiana’s most beloved historic theaters.

Supporting local isn’t just about shopping local, it’s about preserving the places that give our community its character, history, and heart.

Its going to be a beautiful day in Batesville today. RomWeber Marketplace's annual Car show has cars, bikes, food trucks, music, antiques and loads of fun. And its all a benefit for Safe Passage.

Car/bike registration begins at 8 am, show opens at 9 am continuing till about 1 pm.

Car/bike registration entrance - take Pearl St to Eastern Avenue

Location: RomWeber Marketplace, 7 S. Eastern Avenue, Batesville.
Parking available in town center, just two blocks away.

Portions of Eastern Avenue and South Street will be closed.

Exciting event coming to Batesville on Saturday, June 6 - It's RomWeber Marketplace's annual Car Show benefiting Safe Passage. Car and bike registration begins at 8 am, the show opens at 9 am and runs till 1 pm. Located at 7 S. Eastern Avenue. Pictured are just a few of the cars that will be present.

30 awards will be given out, including up to 3 for motorcyles - with a Best Of Batesville premium belt.

Also attached is the event timeline which includes our food trucks.

Come for the cars, stay for the food and support a great cause.

Batesville Area Retailers presents Couples Night Out on Friday, June 12 from 5–8 pm in downtown Batesville. While downtown has hosted many Ladies’ Nights over the years, this event was created with the intention of offering something for everyone to enjoy together. We wanted to create a fun night out that includes experiences that appeal to both men and women, making it easy to spend an evening together in the community.💙

Bring your cool car and park along George Street outside the Bierhaus at The Sherman beginning at 5pm. Start your evening by grabbing a drink and enjoy strolling through downtown Batesville’s DORA district, where you can sip and shop while exploring participating businesses, restaurants, and entertainment… all within walking distance.

Batesville Liquor Co will host bourbon and wine tasting from 5–7 pm. Flying G Fireworks & Displays will be joining us and Uptown Sports Cards will also be open during the event, along with participating Batesville Area Retailers including Candyland Creations and More, Concepts Custom Framing, Esmirna’s Latin Spices set up at GypsySoul Essential Oils & Gifts, Meadows Pathways - Salt room, Sunshine Sisters Plant Shop, The Old Schubox, The Stitchery & Timeline Tux Batesville, Upscale Resale, Walnut Street Variety Shop with ’s Designs and Karie's Attic.

Be sure to grab a Date Night Stamp Card at any participating business. Visit 3 or more participating locations throughout the evening and turn your completed card in at any participating stop for your chance to win fabulous prizes.

After shopping and dinner, continue your night with a special movie showing at The Gibson Theatre - Batesville Indiana beginning at 8 pm, or end back at the Bierhaus where Craig Quick Music will be performing live from 8–11 pm.

Whether you want to enjoy dinner together, split up to browse your favorite shops, check out the cars, sample bourbon, or just spend time downtown together, Couples Night Out is designed to create a relaxed and enjoyable evening for everyone.
