Today I’m featuring a strain that's both old and new to my page—one I’ve never posted before (mainly because I didn't have any 😂): the Red Topaz Big Tail ❤️ This is a common color mutation of the Blue Topaz Big Tail. Instead of having that blue shade, the fish turns out red. That's pretty much it! 🤷🏻‍♂️ Since I’ve been breeding Blue Topaz lately, I’ve managed to get around 20 pairs of these Red Topaz, but most are still young. I’m posting the first 4 pairs today that are officially breeder size. Just 4 pairs available! If you love this color, shoot me a DM ✌🏻

Good evening, everyone! 🌚 Tonight I’m gonna show you a stroke of pure 'luck' in my guppy breeding journey: this is the fry batch from that HB Red Rose pair with the massive cauliflower dorsal fin (the one bigger than their tail) that I showed you guys before. And in this very batch, two genetic mutants popped up—a perfectly matched pair of super short body guppies! 😍 The male even has a bright red head! 😆 I’m gonna isolate this pair into a separate tank and hopefully, they'll pass down that super short body trait to the next generation! 😁

Today I’m going to show you a disease in guppies: body rot. When red spots appear on the fish's body and they stop eating and swimming sluggishly, those spots will spread across their body within a few days and can even turn into a dark purple. That fish is 100% going to die. If you don't scoop it out of the tank before it dies, the disease will spread to your entire colony. I also don't recommend trying to treat it, as it’ll just relapse quickly anyway. So, the best way to handle it is to 'send it off on its final journey' 😂
