Pack the essentials with the help of our LA5 Checklist ✔️

🪑 Folding chairs (bag chairs = ideal)
🧺 Picnic blankets
🛒 Wagons + carts to roll with ease
☀️ Sunscreen + hats
🪭 FANS 🪭
🌂 Small Umbrellas (keep ’em secure + don’t block the stage)
💧 Water to stay cool + hydrated

BAM! Now THAT felt like a Friday. 💙🎶

helped us welcome Live After Five back to downtown Baton Rouge with a full lawn, plenty of dancing and so many familiar faces.

And the stage stayed busy all night. The U-High Band joined Chris LeBlanc Band for a special moment, from gave us an incredible live performance, and had the crowd up and dancing. 🎸💃

Around the plaza, and helped us kick off the season alongside our awesome LA5 Food Vendors, bringing even more local flavor to the night.

Thank you to everyone who came out for our Fall 2026 kickoff and reminded us exactly why we look forward to these Friday nights all year long.

A familiar face on the Live After Five stage and a longtime favorite of the Baton Rouge music community. .leblanc1969 has been part of Louisiana’s music scene for more than 25 years, building a sound shaped by blues, rock, soul and the musical roots of the South. In 2018, that career was recognized with his induction into the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame.

Every spring and fall, we light up the heart of Baton Rouge with free Friday night concerts at Rhorer Plaza and our Fall series kicks off on Friday! 🪭

What started as a simple idea more than 25 years ago has grown into downtown Baton Rouge’s longest-running outdoor concert series and it’s powered by community, culture, and our love for live music.

Our mission is simple: to create a space where friends, families, and visitors can come together, enjoy incredible local and regional talent, support small businesses, and celebrate everything that makes Baton Rouge special. 💙

At Live After Five, we've always believed that music has the power to bring people together. Week after week, our plaza becomes a gathering place where neighbors become friends, friends become family, and our community comes together to celebrate what makes Baton Rouge so special.

As we celebrate Juneteenth, we're reminded that what makes Live After Five special isn't just the music on stage.

It's the community that gathers around it. ❤️🖤💚

Those Friday nights are rooted in traditions that would not exist without the influence and creativity of Black musicians, artists, and culture. Black creatives have shaped the soundtrack of Louisiana and helped create the vibrant cultural identity we cherish today.

The culture we celebrate at Live After Five is not something we take for granted. It is something we strive to honor, preserve, and carry forward through every performance, every gathering, and every season.

Today, we celebrate freedom. We celebrate culture. And we celebrate the Black artists, musicians, and community members whose talent, perseverance, and creativity continue to shape Baton Rouge and inspire us all. 🎶✨
