Tone Pro paints are coming to Perfect Storm! ⚡

Can you really just 'glob it on'? Is the self leveling as good as tik tok makes it seem? What happens if you just dunk a model in the pot? Does it taste good? 🤔 🤔 🤔

We all have a lot of questions and on Oct. 10th, from 12-3pm, you can have them all answered. Both Perfect Storm Battle Creek and Paw Paw will be hosting free painting events where anyone can come and see just what the Tone Pro paints can do.

Reminder to our to all our painters:

Yesterday marked the first day of our painting competition. Come into either our Battle Creek or Paw Paw location and pick out your own ghastly ghoul for $10.

Paint it, kit-bash it, and base it however you please all we ask is that you bring it back by 10/25. Minis will be displayed at the store they are purchased at during the public voting period (10/26-10/31).

PERFECT STORM HALLOWEEN PAINTING COMPETITION

Calling all painters, hobbyists, and creatures of the night...

Break out the brushes, crack open the paint pots, and prepare to raise something from the dead. Perfect Storm's Halloween Painting Competition is upon us!

This time we're doing things a little differently.

Rather than bringing your own miniature, you'll choose your victim—I mean, model—from a selection of Halloween-themed GW Zombie miniatures available at the store.

Everyone starts with one of our selected models. What happens to it from there is entirely up to you. Paint it. Base it. Convert it. Make it horrifying. Make it hilarious. Make it beautiful in a deeply unsettling sort of way.

Then bring your finished creation back to Perfect Storm and let the public decide whose monster reigns supreme!

HOW TO ENTER:

-Pay the $10 entry fee and choose one model from the Halloween miniatures available at the store starting 9/25.

-Painting, basing, conversions, kitbashing, and creative additions are encouraged.

-Return your completed model to the store by the submission deadline of 10/25 (the earlier the better).

-Finished entries will remain on display during the public voting period (10/26 through 10/31)

PRIZES:

The dead may have little use for money, but painters certainly do.

1st Place — $60 Perfect Storm Store Credit

2nd Place — $40 Perfect Storm Store Credit

3rd Place — $20 Perfect Storm Store Credit

PUBLIC VOTING:

Once the end of submissions are upon us, all completed entries will be displayed in-store for public voting from 10/26 through 10/31

Voting is open to the public - each voter will choose their three favorite entries.

The entries receiving the most votes will determine 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place.

WHAT SHOULD VOTERS LIKE YOU LOOK FOR?

When casting your votes, consider:

Paint Quality — Smooth coats, highlights, shadows, contrast, lighting, and overall ex*****on.

Build & Presentation — Clean assembly, interesting posing, and attention to detail.

Advanced Techniques — OSL, NMM, glazing, blending, weathering, gore effects, and whatever other forbidden techniques you've uncovered in ancient hobby tomes.

Basing — Graveyards, swamps, ruined streets, cursed forests... anything that turns a lone mini into a full scene.

And the overall creativity showed up by the artist in their work.

THE FINE PRINT FROM THE CRYPT

One entry per participant starting 9/25 and ending 10/25.

Your competition model must be one of the eligible models provided by Perfect Storm when you enter.

Conversions, kitbashing, custom basing, and added details are welcome.

Entries must be appropriate for public display in the store.

Models will be handled with care but are left at the owner's risk while on display.

Perfect Storm staff may enter, but not at their home store.
