Using a 1/4 ounce Saginaw Bay Walleye Candy Bug Eye Jig. In the " Mellow Yellow" pattern and a large minnow was the ticket today. We caught numerous undersized Walleye as well. The fish shut off biting once the clouds rolled in.

The Saginaw Bay Walleye Candy Guys wanted to take a moment to update you guys on Saginaw River conditions.

The water clarity has improved. And the current has slowed down. We took home 6 keepers over 15 inches. The Walleye were chomping tonight. We caught numerous Walleye between 12-13 inches all afternoon. Pitching various jigging baits from shore.

We also were using perch rigs as well. We couldn't keep a perch rig in the water long. We caught numerous Giant Catfish all afternoon on perch rigs.

Also, make sure you have your 2021 Fishing license when you go fishing on the Saginaw River. DNR was out and stopped us.

The Walleye Candy Guys wanted to take a few minutes and give a update on the river conditions on the Saginaw River.

After all this rain. Water clarity has been less then a foot up around Bay City. The bite has been very tough. We have been throwing jigs and perch rigs with limited success Were hoping within the next few days. The water clarity improves.
