There’s a 300 pound chili pepper hiding in Bay City, Texas… and its story is almost as big as it is. 🌶️

Legend has it, this giant once hung from the ceiling of the very first Chili’s restaurant in Texas.

Then came a city building code violation. Down came the pepper. And somehow, this larger than life piece of Texas nostalgia ended up spending the next 20 years sitting in a pasture.

Until Team Tinnin found it.

We rescued it, restored it, and gave it a second life as part of the Texas Mistletoe display at Tinnin’s Christmas Village.

And now?

🌶️ The giant pepper has a new home at Lone Star Gardens.

Come see it. Take a family photo. Grab the selfie. Add it to your list of wonderfully weird things you’ve seen in Texas.

Because sometimes you don’t need another errand.

You just need a reason to get out of the house.
