Former fish biologist Paul Baumann has written a Fishes of the Heartland Table which is part cookbook, part fish biology. He and his son, Brendan, joined us for an hour+ of signing copies & talking to customers.

Jennifer and I discovered we have the same algorithm— beagles, rescues, and books about beagles and rescues. Tho I don’t have that shirt but I want it. I have Gilby, Elton & Matt; she has 1 beagle rescue & 2 pitties & they are the sweetest th*****me. I think we might be friends for a long time.

Also, we’re both watching the marchforanimals — 240 miles from Albany to upstate NY to raise awareness about 16k beagles living in cages to be sold to laboratories around the world. And we’re cheering the marchers from afar.
