A beautiful piece of 19th-century French craftsmanship just arrived at Town & Country Sales. This elegant sideboard dessert server dates to the 1870s and showcases stunning burl walnut veneers with intricate marquetry inlay throughout.
Originally designed for formal dining rooms, pieces like this were used to serve desserts or display fine tableware during gatherings. The design features a white marble serving surface, decorative mirrored gallery with side mirrors, and the kind of detailed craftsmanship that made French furniture of this era so sought after.
The base is both decorative and functional, offering three drawers and three mirrored cabinet compartments for linens, serving pieces, or barware. Turned columns, carved details, and delicate inlaid patterns give the piece a refined presence that makes it a true focal point.
