Shared by Irena Goss Today I had the true honor of spending a few hours with my amazing friend who also happens to be the owner of a small business called Otherworldly Waxes in Beacon NY and online! I have known Amy for many years through both her shop and other wonderful events in the area…many that she is the creator of. She makes the most amazing spell candles and offers many wonderful items for purchase. Making spell candles is where she truly shines! Let’s just say…Amy knows her stuff! Her knowledge, care, dedication, patience, and passion when creating a candle for someone is such a wonderful thing to experience. If you live far away and want someone that you can trust please check out her shop online! I cannot say enough good things about her! Her shop is sadly closing after September but she will still continue her online business. I know the local community will miss her, including me, but thankfully she is still online! If you are looking for someone you can trust and is in it for the right reasons, Amy is your person. Thanks again for today my sweet friend and for listening to me as I yammered on. 🤣So happy we could catch up and I can not wait to light my candle tomorrow and watch the magic unfold! 📣WE’RE MOVING!📣

After 11 years in our current location and 33 years in business, Otherworldly Waxes is preparing for a new chapter.

Due to the ongoing and unpredictable infrastructure issues within our current building, we have made the difficult decision to relocate to a safer, more stable environment for our business, our clients, and our community.

Our current storefront will close during the last week of October 2026

While we search for the right new home, 👉Otherworldly Waxes is not closing.👈We will continue operating through 👉online and mail-order sales, virtual offerings, special events, and pop-ups👈 until we secure a new physical location where we can once again welcome our wonderful clients in person.

Leaving this space after 11 years is bittersweet. So much has happened within these walls: friendships have formed, stories have been shared, candles have been burned, intentions have been set, and an incredible community has grown around us.

But our story began long before this building.

For 33 years, Otherworldly Waxes has evolved, adapted, created, and continued forward. This is simply the beginning of our next transformation.

To everyone who has walked through our doors, supported our work, shared our name, attended our events, or simply lit one of our candles:

Another long awaited visit over this past weekend was a trip to the in Salem, Massachusetts. The history and art alone was awe inspiring! And of course the infamous Baphomet statue was majestic to witness in person.
