Here’s how to keep your garden safe before the next big blow hits:

🌿 Stake it: Support tall plants and young trees before the wind shows up.

🪴 Move it: Bring containers close to the house or indoors. Heavy pots stay low, light ones come inside.

Summer is starting to wind down here in the Lowcountry, which means it’s the perfect time to start getting your garden ready for the new season! 🍂

👉 When to Start?
Here in Beaufort, late August through September is the sweet spot to refresh your beds, clean up summer annuals, and get your soil prepped for fall planting.

🌱 Quick Prep Tips:

~ Clear out tired summer plants to make room for cool-season color 🌼

~ Add compost or fresh soil to recharge your beds 🪴

~ Start thinking about fall favorites like pansies, mums, ornamental cabbage & kale!

~ Divide and replant perennials now so they’ll thrive next year 💪
