This year, we’re excited to partner with the Freedman Arts District to expand Artists Sunday and bring even more local art and creativity throughout Downtown Beaufort.

Today, we pause to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and honor the courage and sacrifice shown in the face of unimaginable tragedy.

We remember the first responders who ran toward danger, the families who carry their loss, and all whose lives were forever changed.

May we never forget those we lost or the unity and compassion that brought our nation together.

Join us tonight in Henry C. Chambers Waterfront Park for the Patriot Day Ceremony as our community comes together to remember and honor.

We remember. We honor. We will never forget.

The City of Beaufort and The Exchange Club are coming together for Patriot Day, a time to remember and honor those who served and lost their lives on September 11, 2001. 🇺🇸

The ceremony will be held:
📆 Friday, September 11
⏰ 7:30–8 p.m.
📍 Henry C. Chambers Waterfront Park lawn

The evening will include opening remarks from Mayor Phil Cromer, recognition of the Firefighter, EMS and Police Officers of the Year, and a procession of first responder vehicles crossing the Woods Memorial Bridge to close out the ceremony.

In the event of rain, the ceremony will be moved to the pavilion at Waterfront Park.

We hope you’ll join us as we pause to remember and honor the lives and service that continue to shape our community and our country.

The Beaufort Shrimp Festival returns October 2–3, and there’s no better time to experience all of downtown Beaufort.
