I've never been to Fredericksburg, Texas, but I'm visiting in September for a fan event. I've been researching and the town looks adorable. Our event is located around the corner from a German bakery, a biergarten and a chocolate shop! We will be there September 26 & 27. I'll put a link in the comments with more information.
