“Floor of the Week”

This patch was in a basement. We were asked to patch this as cost effectively as we could. Sometimes weaving a patch is not possible without re-cutting boards width wise and putting the tongue or groove back in (which is a huge expense.) This floor was removed to replace a sewer line in the cement floor. The customers were pleased with the outcome.

This floor had some serious sun fading and shading. The homeowner wanted that gone along with the old gunstock color. We were more than happy to help her with that. What a beautiful floor this ended up being!

“Floor of the Week”

Part 1

Recently we had the privilege of working on the floors in this beautiful historic home. So much craftsmanship went into this whole house, not just the flooring. Due to this job being more unique we felt it deserved a two part posting; with ‘the before’ being part one this week and ‘the after’ being part two next week. This week’s post shows the little sanding that we had to do to this floor. Next week we will post the final steps and final product.
