Kelbourne Woolens August Year of DK Hats is here! August’s design is Prospero, designed by Kelbourne Woolens’ own Kate Gagnon Osborn and features a striking combo of texture stitches. We currently have kits available is Cream and Dark Magenta.

We just got a bunch of new colorways of Juniper Moon Farm Rambouillet in, this the new and improved full pallet of colors we have available now! It’s a deliciously soft non-superwash DK with endless possibilities.

*I forgot to add the shade names on the last slide so they are as follows: Onyx, Porcelain, Silver Lining*

For Yarn’s Sake has an immediate opening for an experienced sales and customer service professional.

The successful candidate must be proficient in knitting and / or crochet, well versed in fiber arts, self-motivated, and have a friendly, outgoing, helpful personality.

Typical duties include sales, stocking, helping and answering customer questions, and general cleaning to keep the store looking tip-top.
A flexible schedule, with the ability to work weekends. Average work week is 18-28 hours / 3-4 days per week.

We’ve got another crochet alternative for this months Kelbourne Woolens Year of DK Hat kit. The Elise Beanie
by Justine Walley (AlyseCrochet on Ravelry).

The Elise Beanie used DK weight yarn and a Size H/8 (5mm) hook.

New yarn alert! This is Pippi Lace from . Pippi Lace is a decadent cloud-soft brushed merino in a delicate lace weight yarn, and the best part? It’s not a mohair! It’s 345 yards of 95% Brushed Merino, 5% Nylon. A great alternative to mohair for those who find mohair or alpaca itchy.

Use it to add a a cloud like softness to your shawls and wraps or texture to your sweaters. We can’t wait to see what creative ways you come up with to use this luxurious fuzz.
