I see people throw out clothes, or pass on things at the thrift, all the time due to snags like these. But they are usually really, really easy to fix!

I hope this helps prolong some pieces in your closet :)

Let me show you how to fix snags with a snag repair needle! This one is from Clover, but I've seen other brands at the fabric store and online.

🪡 If you only have regular sewing needles, you can still do a very similar repair! Use a sewing needle with the biggest eye you have; push it part-way through the fabric, at the base of the snagged threads, then put the loose threads through the eye before you pull it all the way through. It's tricky but it does basically the same thing.
On wider-yarn fabrics or knits, you might even be able to use a small crochet hook!

Thank you for showing up for our art popup this weekend!! 🍾🐛 The turnout was insane! I appreciate everyone who stopped by and helped spread the word :D
We all had an amazing time (even with the sprinkle of rain in the middle) and all of our artists went home happy and fulfilled 😌

A little reintroduction to the shop as Fall is on our doorstep 🐌🍂

Did you know we're a few blocks away from a MAX stop? I thought it'd be fun to sneak in there. c:

Forager is full of cozy clothes, as we start digging out our Fall inventory. And plenty of whimsical trinkets, critters, and artist goods as always. 🐿️ We still have a bit to pack away from Summer, but slow and steady and we'll get there.

If you're ever out on our side of town, we hope you can stop in!

Sorry about the silence on the feed lately! 🐌
I've been working hard at setting up the new photo studio and going through job applications for our new ecommerce staff. I've probably spent 6 hours just researching cameras this week?? (Camera decisions have been made! I think!)

It has been about half a year since we did our last product drop (maybe 2 years since the last clothing drop!) Forager has just been so busy in-person, we haven't had the time to spare on other projects.
But I want to be able to get vintage goods to our fans who are far away again! And also get more of our artist selection online. Especially before the Holiday season! It would be a win for our customers, our vendors, and us.
Unfortunately everything I ever want to do takes an exorbitant amount of time (⁠•⁠ ⁠▽⁠ ⁠•⁠;⁠)

Anyway, what was my point... 🐛
Oh, I'll be back to posting content shortly! Thank you for always keeping us in mind.
Hopefully, we'll be back to doing product drops regularly next month. Whether it's online or in-store, we're excited to have you Foraging with us!

A quick peek around the shop this month 🐌🌿

There are lots of little guys, and everything is slightly askew. That's how you can tell we have a lot going on in the background.

Events are being planned, new products and projects. We just signed for a new office space, and will be updating our website again. Two Art popups left. Fall and the Holidays are right around the corner. My head is spinning, but it's all also so very exciting :)

What could it be..?

This is gonna be a controversial one... 🤔

Forager has been asked to share AI generated flyers before. We have a policy against carrying AI generated work, and posting AI flyers in our shop and online. But it is honestly really conflicting when that flyer is for a nonprofit or "for a good cause".

Ethically, it has always rubbed me the wrong way, but it's been difficult to really put into words. I have quietly avoided certain shops that regularly use AI, because why go somewhere that feels slightly uncomfortable when there's another option usually just across the street?

At Forager, we've managed to just avoid AI and do our own thing, creating our own marketing, and focusing on working with artists. But more and more, we've needed to set a boundary, and have important conversations with vendors, shops, and people in our community who consider using AI as "so small" and trivial.

I would love the chance to pass on your thoughts to our wider community.
