For Michael Schweitzer, BSPharm'89, owner of Bedford Drug in southwest Iowa, expanded pharmacy practice has created new opportunities to improve patient care through chronic disease management, point-of-care testing and other clinical services.

Creighton's School of Pharmacy and Health Professions is preparing future pharmacists to step into these evolving roles through rigorous clinical education, hands-on training and a commitment to caring for the whole person.

Bedford Drug offers a support program for patients with dementia and their caregivers. This program is for patients with traditional Medicare coverage and is available at no cost to the patient.

Most families wait to receive help until there is a crisis situation. We can help families avoid or diminish issues that arise from caring for someone with dementia or Alzheimer's.

Our Guide program helps patients and caregivers navigate issues associated with these conditions. We have successfully helped families ease the burden of living with and caring for individuals with Dementia and Alzheimer's.
