Machines, Fabric, Sewing notions, Crochet kits and other items available in DIRECT PAY.

All machines and supplies do require proof of curriculum, and in person or online class or detailed parent created syllabus and information on the parent's ability to teach the course written.

In addition, supplies need justification such as a pattern, supply list in curriculum or lesson plan. Scope and sequence should include what skill the student will learn from the project planned.

Learn to install a zipper
Learn to install elastic waist band
Learn to sew French seams...

But they are still approving student orders who supply that information for the supplies needed for their projects and for the machines as needed.

There are several vendors with links in the footer of my website that are all direct pay. Including one that sells various age and skill level curriculum.

There are many free tutorials on the website as well for students to use outside of their planned lessons as MANY can be completed with the scraps from other projects or upcycled materials such as old jeans.

Sewing is SEW COOL!! I love seeing the wonderful projects all of our young sewists are creating.

Any students with images of completed projects who sends me a guest blog post this week will go in a drawing for a FREE two yard cut of any fabric of their choice!!

I have added some more pages with information on quilting but also on how to applique your quilt blocks. There are now links as well to info on doing FREE MOTION embroidery with your machine as well. SO many ways you can take a quilt once you learn quilting and take it to a whole new level. New fabrics, new kits, everything in the store is EFA approved with a lesson explanation for the material.

Fabric, notions, yarn, crochet kits, batting for your quilts. Please be sure to utilize all of the free informative tutorials and continue to look back as more are added.

New lines of fabric that are perfect for that first quilt.

First is Evening on the Prairie - which has matching panel projects for a tote bag and an apron. Use the coordinates to make a chef hat, oven mitts, pot holders, bowl covers, sour dough starter covers... Then put all of those and the apron into the matching tote and head off to your cooking class!!!

Second up - Anne of Green Gables, this is the cutest book and story print with beautiful floral and gingham coordinate prints. Make a quilt or just make a quilted bag lined with books!!!

THIRD - a set for the guys out there wanting to make a quilt that is earthy and perfect for boy scout sewing badge projects. The National Parks collection.

Crochet kits with video instruction and all notions included. I mostly got the smallest sizes for starters to let everyone see if these kits are what they are looking for. I got some mid-size and one larger size. Once I have an idea what the students are looking for, I can place another order and look at getting more larger ones IF those are wanted. If the smaller are preferred anyhow I will just stick with those!!

Some yarn in stock. I will continue to look for other yarn options, and I have a shipment this coming week expected with some small yard animal kits.

There are new fabrics in stock as well and more coming in the next week that I will add once they ship.

So excited to see the progress students are making!

Keep sending me photos of your projects! And feel free to reach out if there are notions needed for your sews I’ve not gotten stocked. I’m happy to look for suppliers for any items the students are needing to make their projects possible.

When students learn to sew, they don’t just gain a skill. Being able to create and make exactly what you want to wear means never having to scour and look for something only to feel defeated when it’s not possible to find. There will never be a time that a sewist is stuck with what is available....

New projects available! Two colors of LIGHT CANVAS aprons and two colors of LIGHT CANVAS tote bags. The panels have all of the pieces needed to make the apron or bag exactly as shown without requiring yardage of several different prints. The link to the full PDF tutorial for each is linked as well. Upcycling with old jeans is a wonderful way to really save $$$ while getting in great practice! But DO make sure you are using at least a size 14 needle when sewing through multiple layers of denim.

If your student needs a machine we have you covered, but there are so many supplies needed to keep learning. DO NOT forget the NEEDLES!!! 7 out of 10 issues when sewing come down to a bent or dull needle.

When its not the needle needing to rethread because your thread has slipped out of place fixes most other problems. Always check the needle and rethread first!

New fabrics and a new tutorial linked. More tutorials will be linked over the weekend. My hubby is out of town, and my troll does not sleep... So, through the nights this weekend I will be loading a lot of tutorials I think students will enjoy. Hopefully projects they will get a lot of use out of!!

For starters MANY students are doing Baketivity's Sourdough course. My own girl is. She found this cute tutorial to use some of her scrap bin and a little elastic to make breathable covers for her sourdough. She also made bowl covers to fit her various mixing bowls. I will link that tutorial tonight.

Learning to merge all of your new skills and use them to enhance one another is big step towards making all of your HOME EC course work really work for you in life on a day-to-day basis. These skills will all prove so useful not just now, but forever.

There are also NEW fabrics ready to go! Pillow panels are so perfect for those early learners. They make the absolute cutest throw pillows. Just add a coordinating fabric for the back and grab some polyfil! Walmart does carry it and the shipping would be silly as cheap as a bag is. But let me know if that is a hardship for anyone who is needing some. I can put some in the store to make sure no one is missing the opportunity to make items them want to make. I just hate having anyone have to pay to ship something that's so bulky unless it's their only viable option.
