Some Names Are Part of the Fair Itself.

🕯️ In loving memory of Ted Garoutte.

Charter member. Outstanding supporter.
One of the names that helped build the
Bi-County Fair into what it is today.

For 57 years, the fair has been a place
where neighbors become family — and it
was people like Ted who made that true.
This plaque stands on the grounds in his
honor, and the light above it stays on.

To everyone who knew him, worked beside
him, or shared a fair week with him:
may this bring a small moment of peace,
and a good memory or two.

🐑 Even the lamb knows he won.

You can see it in his face — ears up, head high,
posing for his own photo like he earned it too.
(Because he did. 😄)

But this moment isn't really about the lamb.
It's about the kid holding the halter.
The early mornings. The cold barns. The feed
bills. The whole season that led to one flash
of the camera in front of the checkered wall.
