We have a special guest joining us today… meet Fred! 🐓

Apparently, he had A LOT to say while I was trying to record, but the second I brought him inside, he got microphone shy!

Today's conversation is a little different and one that's close to my heart.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and this year it hits a little closer to home.

We're talking about community, showing up for one another, and using what I've built to make a difference.

Throughout October, I've discounted both our Luxury Hat Bars and Hat Burning Workshops for YOU, and Belle Morn is donating 10% of qualifying sales to a dear friend battling breast cancer. A beautiful local mommy and friend.

Our goal is to raise $1,000 or more!

I decided to use one of my favorite country songs and get a little creative!

"Excuse me... you look like you love me"

With all the weddings and events coming up, I thought this one was fitting!

I wanted the little details to tell a story. From the baby's breath representing everlasting love to the wheat symbolizing abundance and prosperity. And my favorite little addition tucked in there (peep the empty mini frame for someone else to add to their story) Of course every piece has a little meaning behind it.

I think that's what makes creating these hats so much fun. Everyone brings their own ideas, personalities, and a little bit of their story to the table!

I'm curious… what's a song that means something special to you? Maybe it's your wedding song, a song that reminds you of someone, or simply one you've always loved!

Now imagine getting your favorite girls together, creating hats inspired by your own stories, and making some memories along the way. I promise you'll have an AMAZING time! 🤠

Gather your girls. Give back to one of ours.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month hits a little differently for me this year.

A few months ago, one of my close friends was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer.

She's 33. A single mom of two. A business owner. A friend. But always a mama first.. like many of us.

She's now more than halfway through treatment, and she's exhausted.. physically and mentally. Every week looks different. She's still doing what she can to work to make ends meet.

She has an amazing support system, but when people ask, “What do you need?” sometimes she doesn't even know what to say anymore. Asking for help isn't always as easy as it sounds. Sometimes figuring out what you need and where people can help becomes another job when you're already exhausted.

Being hundreds of miles away, I've struggled with how I can help more.

Then I realized... I can by doing something I love.

For the last couple of years, this girl has shown up for my little boutique over and over. She's shopped with me, brought her kids to my events, come to our coffee & chats, and spent hours at the boutique just sitting and chatting with me.

She showed up for me... Now I want Belle Morn to show up for her. 🎀

So this October, we're doing The Buddy System.

Gather your girls, fill a class, and you'll receive special October pricing. In return, Belle Morn will donate 10% of every qualifying paid booking directly to helping our friend.

We're also giving 10% off our custom burned/cowboy hats at our October events and donating 10% of those sales to her too.

🎀 OUR GOAL: $1,000+

Everything we raise will be sent to her at the end of the month so she can use it however she needs it.

And to anyone reading this who has fought breast cancer, is fighting it now, or has watched someone you love go through it. I am so incredibly sorry. Every journey is different, but I have a whole new understanding of how much this disease affects not only the person fighting it, but everyone who loves them.

Whether it's booking an event, buying a hat, sending a sweet message, sharing this post, or quietly saying a prayer for her it's all appreciated.
