The Next Chapter Bookstore is expanding and moving to a new location next month.

I can’t believe I’m really posting this! Equal parts excited and terrified honestly 😳. We have been so blessed with this whole journey of bringing our little bookstore to life. Now it’s time to feel “real” 🤣 we are going out, on our own, without all our friends inside the marketplace…yall.

THANK YOU!!! Thank you all so much for making this possible. To save you the googling, that address is currently the home of Candy Craze. She is changing directions with her business and didn’t need the huge space anymore.

We don’t know the exact date of the move, we just know it will be the first couple weeks of October. It’s such a whirlwind, November will be our one year in business. Like, WHAT?!?! You guys are the best! Thanks for letting us bring you joy through the books we find and the ones we order brand new. It’s been fun and we can’t wait to see what’s next!

Bellefontaine, meet Dolly. 💗 Our newest (and definitely pinkest) piece of placemaking has officially arrived on North Main Street!

Originally built in the United Kingdom in 1920, this authentic cast-iron British phone booth has been beautifully restored by Lima Powder Coating and now has a new home in front of The Hanger Boutique in Downtown Bellefontaine.

But as the booth was being assembled Tuesday, we learned the sad news that country music legend Dolly Parton had passed away.

And suddenly, the name just felt right.

Meet “Dolly.” 💕

Bright. Bold. Colorful. One-of-a-kind. And guaranteed to make you smile.

It’s our small Bellefontaine tribute to a woman whose music, kindness, generosity and larger-than-life personality brought joy to generations.

Placemaking is about creating the unexpected — little moments that make you stop, smile, take a picture and remember a place.

We have a feeling Dolly is going to be photographed a LOT. 📸💗

The newest placemaking stop has arrived and is being installed near The Hanger Boutique and New Age Medical Services on Main Street. Made possible by a donation from Small Nation, this authentic cast iron British phone booth has been completely restored by Lima Powder Coating and was delivered and re-installed by Trent Berry. Stay tuned for some exciting enhancements being planned by local artist and designers too. P.S. 5 feet of clearance is on the sidewalk as we want everyone to enjoy their photos next to this.
