Hey folks I want to give you an update of my surgery and whereabouts and how’s it going and when will I return questions that I am receiving daily and I so much love and appreciate . Surgery went well. I am up and doing . I will not be in the shop until the first part of October after my Dr.visit. (Not Jim ) will be running the show until my return . While I am out . I will not be taking trade ins or buying of instruments. Please share and thank you for the support . I will see you soon.

Hey folks while I’m recovering from this back surgery .the store hours and days have changed temporarily. I should be back in the shop in about 6-8 weeks. The store will be open . Please continue shopping the shop while I am gone. My biggest fear about getting this surgery was losing the shop while I am down . I will be keeping orders and stock up to date so I will be behind the scene while in recovery. Lessons will continue , I will have someone come in and change strings and repairs etc… just wanted to keep you updated and hope to be back in the saddle soon. But it will take time.

Update . My back surgery has been moved back to sept 2. So I will be in the shop this week.

Another hero is gone. Thank you Frank for all the great beats of ear candy. You will be missed but never forgotten.

Frank Beard has died at 77. He passed Monday in hospice care at his ranch in Richmond, Texas, with family at his side. Beard joined ZZ Top in 1969 and brought Dusty Hill in shortly after. He played on all 15 studio albums.

Rest in peace.

ATTENTION- Please read this post in its entirety and SHARE to help me reach everyone.

The wear and tear of rocking has caught up with me. I’ve been avoiding a back surgery for years and the time has come to pay up. Surgery is planned for August 27th. Doctor says I’ll be down for at least six weeks.

Music Center USA will remain open on reduced hours and services while I am out.

Hours will be Wed-Fri 12-5 and Saturday 11-3.

I will have someone to change strings once a week - likely in evening so if you need strings changed plan to leave guitar for up to a week.

Repairs are TBD. Anything I typically do in-house will need to wait or be sent out and I am not sure my external repair contacts schedule yet. I will post again when I do.

During my absence we won’t be buying any used instruments or accepting trades.

If you need guitar set up or minor repairs or strings, please come in before August 27.

I am hopeful that I will return no later than mid-October better than ever.

Thank you all for your support and business. Running a small business seems to get harder every year and I’ve watched many independent music stores shut down. We wouldn’t exist without you and I can’t thank you enough.
