Enameled glass put in its first appearance in ancient Egypt, emerged again during the Roman Empire and was adopted by Islamic craftsmen who took it to dizzying heights of splendor. From there it came to Venice in the Late Middle Ages and spread through Europe and England. Victorians were the next to fall in love with it. Most of this incarnation was produced in Bohemia and other Germanic countries. Enameled glass of this era up to the mid 20th century make up the majority of pieces on the market today. The technique is achieved by mixing powdered glass pigments with a binder and applying it with heat onto the surface of the glass. The possibilities for beautiful designs are almost endless. It has begun! Phyllis has started bringing in her 2026 Christmas collection and they definitely do not disappoint. Who can resist the adorable faces on these snowmen, Gingerbread kids and Santa couples? There is more to come, but keep in mind that her work is limited so don't delay, get here fast.

With their bright colors and artfully executed graphics, they call for our attention like carnival barkers.
