Here is a beautiful specimen of what I would consider the perfect "Shredder" guitar - 1990 USA Jackson Soloist SL1!!!

The guitar came in for a fret level, re-crown, and polish. That along with adding a Gotoh GE1996T Bridge/tremolo w/ oversized brass block and upgraded purple titanium Hardware with noiseless Springs.

We have also been messing with the pickups and electronics to get things dialed in per the customer's request. Ended up switching out the factory Jackson pick up for a Duncan JB (TB-4),.. and moving some of the controls around so that the system still utilized the factory Jackson JE1200 "Mid-Boost" active circuit.

The Finish is the Eerie Dess Swirl finish. There's something really special about the older Jackson and Charvel necks and guitars from the late 80s in through the mid-90s. Those guitars in my opinion are some of the best playing guitars on the planet!

Here are some of the pictures during the process of the work. I don't have any pictures of the electronics as they are right now, as we previously rewired the unit with all new electronics and removed the mid boost circuit. But now we've Incorporated it back in..... video playthrough to follow! πŸ€“

I had the pleasure of going through this Gibson Axcess Les Paul today!

These things are probably one of my favorite guitars ever. This one in particular really has something "Special" going on!

Customer needed to replace the trim arm fitting as the original one was broke. Also wanted to upgrade to a larger brass block and noiseless Springs. Got the bridge all disassembled and cleaned up and lubricated, treated the fretboard and buffed the Frets out, adjusted the Locking nut height. Got everything all set up and dialed in. Plays and sounds amazing!

Here's an interesting design on a "Travel" guitar,.. folds up neatly and fits in its own backpack. Pretty ingenious especially for the musician who needs a small carry-on guitar!

This one was back in for a set up,.. customer has been having some issues with string breakage on the A and D strings right at the bridge saddles,... with the high heat and humidity around here and a lot of outdoor gigs going on there's a lot of rust and corrosion happening on the guitars that have been coming through the shop. I recommend wiping everything down thoroughly after the show and maybe lubricating all of the pivot Points and definitely wiping down the strings and neck/ fretboard...

This one has some pretty good grooves developing in the bridge saddles on the 1000 series Floyd Rose, clean them up and smooth them out and then lubricated everything. Won't be long it will be time for some replacement Saddles thoughπŸ‘

Another note on this guitar is that I have several of these newer Mim charvel's and they all play really well with minimal work, but I have struggled with the sound/tone with a lot of them that I personally own, this one has the same pickups that several of mine had in it but it just sounds "Right",.. just goes to show you that the sound that comes out of these guitars is truly a sum of all of its parts wood, hardware, Electronics the entire works.

Here is a fairly new Jackson X Series soloist SL3X DX, this thing doesn't look like it's hardly ever been played... I've said this before there's just something about these Jackson soloist next even on the import versions, they're pretty much good to go right out of the box!

This one came in the other day. The customer wanted to install a couple of singlecoil sized humbuckers pickups he had from another guitar in this Fender Ultra Strat,... and then utilize the S1 switching for coil tapping for these new humbuckers...
