Forest Park celebrates its 150th anniversary this year! “Forest Park: St. Louis’s Gathering Place Since 1876” captures the creation, preservation, and enduring character of the green heart of St. Louis. The sheer ambition behind the park’s original design is still unmatched — flip through these pages and rediscover the history and spirit that make Forest Park so special.

To round out the St. Louis nostalgia, “Meet Me in St. Louis” is showing at the Muny through Thursday, August 13.

Then next Saturday, August 15 at 1 pm, join us in the bookshop for a special presentation and book signing with co‑authors Amanda E. Doyle and Cameron Collins.

“I present to you, the people of the County of St. Louis, your own, this large and beautiful Forest Park for the enjoyment of yourselves, your children, and your children’s children forever…” - Chauncey F. Shultz, St. Louis County judge during Forest Park’s 1876 dedication ceremony.

The Well-Rounded Book Group is the newest book group at Belleville Books! Meeting on the third Tuesday of every month at 6pm, we will meet to discuss books from a variety of genres featuring fat characters with diverse backgrounds.

Representation is so important! We should be able to see ourselves in the heroes of a crazy adventure or as the love interest in a swoon-worthy romance.

“The Undergrads: Student Union” by Julie Murphy is August’s pick, meeting to discuss on Tuesday, August 18. Order online or call the store to get your discounted copy.

All bodies are welcome!
