I spent the last few days organizing myself and my business. I made several candles and candle testers and let me tell you, my heart was so happy. After a year of not making candles, it was such a joy to do this again.

This time, I have new candle jars, wicks, and waxes. I was forced to grow and step out my comfort zone so we will see how it goes.

W I C K • T E S T I N G • I N • P R O G R E S S🔥

Testing the candles is probably THE most important step in the candle making process. It ensures safety by the wax and the oils are behaving properly with the wick.
Once lit, it's important to pay attention to tbe behavior of the flame. We want a steady flame that it's not too big or too small, and we don't want any soot.
If any of these happen during the wick test, I would need to make a candle with a different size wick. It all depends on how the candle behaves.
Also during the wick test, I test the strength of the fragrance, or hot throw. If the hot throw is weak and I can barely smell the candle, I'll make a candle with a stronger fragrance concentration.
So far, these candles are burning lovely! 😍

There are very few scents that I hesitate to buy when it comes to candles. Vanilla is definitely one of them because it can be so strong and overpowering. That's why when I decided to include a vanilla scent in my candle and wax melt collection, I wanted it to be smooth as can be.
These highly scented wax melts are perfect for the living room or bedroom areas. I absolutely love these wax melts because they are long lasting, just a couple of cubes lasts for days!

C U R I N G • C A N D L E S

I had so much fun working with these new vessels and oils! Now I just have to wait until these beauties cure.

The curing process depends on the type of wax that you use. As a rule of thumb, for 100% soy wax, Include my candles for 10 days before testing them. This gives the wax and the oils ample time to bind, resulting in a better scented candle.

I'm so excited to be collaborating with a close friend for this Aromatherapy Collection. I just could wait to announce it! This collection features new amber jars that look amazing while lit and four new scents to suit your mood.
Today I will be making the candle testers to ensure candle safety. Once these candles are cured, i will be testing the burn and see how the wick interacts with the oils.
Once all candles pass the testing phase, I can start small batch candle production! Once done you will be able to purchase at Omaha Massage and Wellness Center and on my online store.
