In honor of Whatcha Playin Wednesday falling on Dreamcast day we couldn’t help but take a second and talk about some of our favorite classics!

When looking back on the Dreamcast, a mountain of memories always comes flooding back. And naturally with so many fond moments and memories, picking a favorite is pretty impossible lol. But below are 4 of our favorites, in no order!

For me, San Francisco Rush: 2049 will always be home. It encapsulates so much of what I adore of the era. The colors, textures and vibe of the game are truly everything I love about arcade racing. That’s also probably why it’s still in my top 5 games overall, lol. The second is an easy choice, Jet Set Radio! This game truly made me fall in love with cel-shading. Everything about Jet screams California color and truly to date is one of the best experiences I had on any console! It was also a huge influence on my sense of style as a kid 😂

As for Adam, Skies Of Arcadia was THE JRPG for the Dreamcast. Its a deft blend of exciting turn-based combat, fun sky-faring adventure, and an over-the-top anime story and art style that makes it a true one of a kind of its era! And for his equally loved second choice,
Power Stone 2 was my favorite of the many Capcom fighting games released for the system, a fun party-type fighting game with wild environments, over the top special moves, and a robust roster of rowdy fighters!

So, we got our first of two Nintendo Directs today, this one specifically all about Zelda’s 40th anniversary and of course, the Ocarina Of Time remake! We got the November 5th release date, and you can absolutely grab a copy from us that day!

Tomorrow though, it’s the general Nintendo Direct! So excited to see what new stuff is on the horizon for the Nintendo Switch 2. We’d love to know: what game/s are you hoping to see or have announced tomorrow! Crossing my fingers here for Ace Attorney 7 finally.

You know we like to live our life a quarter Gil at a time. That means we’re all about family!

And the beautiful thing about family is that it is always perfectly different. Different styles, different approaches, different takes or perspectives. And of course an assortment of different preferences.

But the even more beautiful thing about family is that when one comes together, all those differences get tossed aside and the core concepts and ideals that make them family shine true. And that inherently brings on more new family. Especially in the gaming world!

We’re always happy to see sections of our favorite gaming families come through our doors and today we’ve got something special. Not only do we have the first 3 English Final Fantasy’s but FFI is cib!

It’s about that time! It’s time for Whatcha Playin’ Wednesday!

This week Adam hasn’t been playing many games but he has been catching up on his many viewing pleasures with his wife! From movie spamming with classics ranging from The Emperors New Groove to This Is Spinal Tap and a few more, the boys been indulging in a myriad of movie magic! And naturally ton of NASCAR!

As for me, I’m diving into an early birthday present from my wife with Assassins Creed: Black Flag - Resynced!
Black Flag was the last Assassins creed I had played and truth be told, I really really enjoyed it. So much so that I didn’t really like any of the other games after enough to play them fully, lol. Not knocking any of them of course.
With that said, Resynced has been wonderful. I’m only a few hours in but the time I have spent within the game has been perfectly reminiscent of the times I enjoyed most in the original. Overall I can’t wait to get further into the game and I’m dying to find more sea shanty’s 😂

Have you ever wanted to try your hand at Magic the Gathering but just haven’t been able to take the plunge? Thanks to a wonderful collaboration with Harley Walton you can try each Saturday, for free!

Every Saturday we host casual commander and we always have lots of newcomers. And let’s face it, there are way too many combinations within MTG to know your style off the rip. As such we’ve decided that our in house decks are also available for loner use going forward each Saturday!

That means you can try your luck at an assortment of new combos, tactics and see what first hand works best for you before you buy it!

With so many new players entering the world of Magic every day we couldn’t think of a better way to allow everyone to try before they buy and learn a little before committing to a new journey!
