Crazy stuff, but we’ve been seeing this for a couple of years at least!

Quick, which music-based physical media do you think had the biggest comeback in 2026? You’d be forgiven for choosing anything but CDs. And yet, here we are.

According to a new mid-year report from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), CD revenue had surged. It jumped 58.6% in the United States during the first half of 2026, reaching $171 million. This is up significantly from the same period in 2025, when it was about $108 million.

We’re super pumped about Record Store Day this year!

It’s always a crazy day for us, but we’ve generally just dipped our toes in the pond, and have only purchased a few goodies.

This year, we went full out, and invested in loads of RSD stuff, AND we’ve spent a ton of money to build up our general inventory, in not just vinyl, but CDs, DVDs, posters, and cassettes.

On April 18th, all of our used gear, and all of our branded merch will be 10% off, and we’re putting out loads of extraordinarily cool used records to fill your collection.

We’re just a little local shop, but we’re going big on this one!

See you at 9 AM Saturday the 18th.
