Yesterday, while my hubstar and I were replacing cedar shakes on our house from a boom lift, I had an overwhelming feeling of my dad, Big Joe.

The lift felt a little like a roller coaster, which made me wonder if I could still ride one at this age without losing my cookies. That thought took me straight back to Dollywood, where my dad, who hated heights, rode the water flume with me. Honestly, nothing short of a miracle and it’s such a strong core memory I have of him.

My dad passed away in 2015, but funny how a boom lift can bring someone right back.

He was also the person who taught me how to play sports, and, quite literally, to keep my eye on the ball. Maybe that’s why the simple round shape of my Bottone earrings and necklace feels so familiar.

Sometimes jewelry holds more than we realize.

I will be laboring over Labor Day Weekend because the job never ends here and at home. Our doors might be locked but we’re always around doing something.

See ya on the flip-side!

I like an earring with a little weight to it. Just a bit, but not too much. Something you can actually feel when you put it on, with enough movement to catch the light without trying too hard.

This new style of drop earrings has faceted patterns that shimmer as they move, and they’ve quickly become a favorite.

In the shop now. Not on the website yet. Sometimes you have to come through the door to get the good stuff. 2100 Iron St, Bellingham. Open Tuesday - Friday, 11-6 PM and Saturday, 11-5 PM.

I knew my style pretty early on: simple, easy, clean lines. My elementary school days I lived for khakis and Izod polos. Then there was the time my mom was out of town for a few days and I was left to my own devices. I confidently walked out the door in grass-green pants and a hot pink Izod shirt. My friend let me know in their own way my color combo was a bad choice (…but the Izod logo on the shirt had the same green! It matched in my mind.) Despite their comments, I knew halfway through the day that my color choices had absolutely missed the mark.

Maybe that’s why I love simple pieces so much. Everything goes and flows so easily together. No planning or serious thought involved!

The sterling silver Polsino Cuff is exactly that. Clean lines, easy to wear, and it goes with just about everything, so you don’t have to overthink it.

I’d say it’s got your outfit covered, but technically, it only covers your wrist. I have several in the shop today. Stop by and try on your main staple piece. Open until 6 PM today and tomorrow. Open 11-5 PM on Saturday.

It’s finally time. I’ve been tucked away at the bench for the past few months, and tomorrow you’ll get to see what I’ve been up to. The Studio Collection officially makes its debut during the Sunnyland Stomp.

Come find me, , and at Stop #26 ( ) on the map. The shop will be open extended hours until 8 PM. Swing by, take a look, and if you like shiny things, I think you’ll be happy you did.

Sunnyland will have an extra pep in it’s step from 3 - 8 PM! Plus our front lawn will be bebopping with extra fun, too!

A little reminder that the is this Saturday from 3 - 8 PM!

If you’re planning your route, is Stomp Stop #26 on the map. Come wander through and check out and on the front lawn, add your mark to our community art project, and dance to DJ Poppin’ Paulie’s spinning session (5-8 PM)!

I’ve also been spending every spare minute at the bench getting new pieces ready for The Studio Collection release. It’s been a while since I’ve had this much fresh work coming together, and I’m pretty excited for you to see it.

Saturday feels like a good day to stroll the neighborhood, discover something new, and maybe find a piece that follows you home. See you at Stomp Stop #26.

I just found out Sagittarius people (that’s me) actually like repetition.

It’s a good thing, cuz here I am, on a holiday, at the bench, doing the same thing over and over, trying to get jewelry finished for my July 18 Studio Collection launch. Nothing like a self-imposed deadline to help me get moving making again. Apparently my version of celebrating our 250th is convincing myself I’m not spinning.

I’ll get it done…somehow. I always do. Now, back to it.

Enjoy your day with friends and family!

I always thought I was pretty good at keeping secrets. Turns out, not this one.

This necklace is part of The Studio Collection, and I’ve been trying very hard to keep it under wraps until the July 18th (Sunnyland Stomp) launch. Clearly, that’s not working out.

Everything will be available on the website July 18. If you’d like a few sneak peeks, first looks, and occasional oversharing before then, hop on my email list. You can find the link in my profile.

Don’t forget to pop by tomorrow for the Sunnyland Yard Sale! We’ll be open 9 AM to 5 PM with cool antiques and collectibles on the front lawn. The shop is open too!

You might know me from Martini Metal Craft, the jewelry business I’ve been building on and off since 2004. What you may not know is that a couple years ago I opened Martini Mercantile, a little corner shop tucked into the Sunnyland neighborhood in Bellingham, WA.

Part retail shop, part artist studios, part excuse to gather good people together for fun events, it’s become the home for my jewelry, other local artists, and all the things I love sharing with this community.

If you’ve never stopped in, this Saturday is a great excuse. The Sunnyland Yard Sale is happening all over the neighborhood, and we’ll be joining in on the fun from 9 AM - 5 PM. Swing by, say hello, browse the shop, and see what we’ve been up to over here.

I sent an email out today to my customer base sharing a little more about a new collection I am launching in July.

These rings are part of that collection, and none of them are on my website, and won’t be until the launch. Plus, good things take time. And apparently, so do I.

If you’ve been following my work for a while, joining my email list is one of the ways I can give something back. It’s where I share a little more of the story, the process, upcoming events, and details (hint, hint…invites) that don’t always make it to Instagram.

If you’re on the list, thank you. If you’re not, there’s still time before July. Find the link in my profile.
