Greetings from the Land of Fire and ICE, as the Pacific North West is rapidly becoming known as. And if you live in Eastern Washington, my heartfelt sympathies for what you have been going through, particularly the fires that have wiped out substantial parts of Spokane, not to mention the Okanagan Valley. We've been getting the smoke here in Bellingham, but the effects are minimal compared to what you all have been suffering through.

Anyway, I just wanted to send you an updated list of the new additions to the store this month, as the books keep rolling in. Many of the additions are WWII items, which seem to be very popular with my customers. After you have finished reading through them, please go to the main store, where there are a lot more books relating to almost every major conflict in the past three hundred years, if not further back in some cases.

I also want to remind you, yet again, that, if you don't like the price on any of the books, please feel free to make me an offer. I use BookFinder.com to set a lot of the prices, but since I am a one man band with very little overhead, I can afford to be generous on certain occasions, so try your luck. I can't guarantee that I will accept your offer, but we might both get a bit of entertainment out of the haggling! I am always open to reasonable bids!

Also, don't forget that making a combined shipment of multiple books can save you a LOT of money, due to how the USPS shipping rates are structured. You can reduce your per unit shipping costs dramatically by buying in bulk!

08/02/2026

Greetings, and welcome to the month of August, named by the Romans after Augustus Caesar, Emperor of Rome, and the month that follows July, named after none other than Julius Caesar, his assassinated predecessor. August was originally "Sextilis", the sixth month, even though it is currently eighth in the modern calendar, due to the Romans having this two month period at the beginning of the year called "Winter", which they eventually divided into two months, January and February, named after Roman gods. They did not, however, rename the last 4 months, which are still entitled months Seven through Ten, but there you are. All rather complicated, especially at a distance of 2,000 years.

Anyway, I have some interesting new items in the store this month, listed below, so take a look, and also don't forget the other items in the main store - I have over 100 books in total now, including the ones below. Don't forget that they are all listed by sub-category, i.e. WW1, WW2, Vietnam, etc., so just click on the category list on the first page if you want to zero in on a particular era...

I have also reduced the prices on six "large format" books, aka "Coffee Table" books, because to be honest, I find them difficult to fit in my bookshelves, and I need all the space I can get. Some are very large format, at 11" x 9", others are smaller, at 10" by 8". They are all in good shape, and are replete with illustrations, which isn't always the case with smaller format books. Anyway, take a look at the offerings and see what you think...

I also wanted to remind you, yet again, that, if you don't like the price on any of the books, feel free to make me an offer. I use BookFinder.com to set a lot of the prices, but since I am a one man band with very little overhead, I can afford to be generous on certain occasions, so try your luck.
