Bellows Falls, VT – Chris Sherwin, owner of Sherwin Art Glass, is proud to announce his participation in The Vermont Craft Council’s Spring Open Studio Weekend, on May 23rd & 24th. Chris will be demonstrating his glass-making techniques and serving seasonal refreshments from local Allen Brothers Farmstand, from 11am-4pm on Sat/Sun, at his 33 Bridge Street Studio/Gallery, in Bellows Falls, VT.

Chris brings the intriguing art of glassblowing and high-quality products to his small, New England hometown community. Sherwin Art Glass maintains uniqueness in the world of art glass with its combinations of torchwork design, colorful backgrounds, handmade and blown shapes, as well as limited edition lampwork and millefiori paperweights. Offering a wide array of hand-sculpted and blown glass, local floral and nature themes are the focus of many of his designs and using his glass working skills, Chris showcases some of the essence of the beautiful and unique New England flowers in his glass vases and paperweights. His hand-sculpted Animals (including stunning Jellyfish, Cardinals, Snowy Owls, 4 styles of Bears, Frogs, Chickadees & Finches) are among his most popular designs!
Sherwin Art Glass is a glass studio committed to excellence in quality and unique composition of glass in various handmade forms. Chris Sherwin has over 32 years of professional experience in glass making. He combines the skills of production crystal glass making and the artistic torchwork design process, learned from two internationally renowned glass studios, into his own unique style. Chris has his glass works in several galleries and museums nationwide and private collections all over the world.
The Glass Studio is designed and runs with environmental concerns in mind. The entire studio, including the 2100+ degree glass furnace, runs on the renewable hydro-electric power furnished by the local dam here in Bellows Falls.
