Can you believe it’ll be September next week? We’re already missing summer a bit but we’re so excited to return to a busy events calendar! We’ve got a lot of great author events planned for the month, so swipe to see what’s coming, and keep an eye out for our community events as well!

If you’ve ever talked to Audrey, you know that she is an absolute legend. She reads more books than anyone we know, can give you a thoughtful, inclusive, spot on recommendation at the drop of the hat, and she’s wicked funny to boot. So it was no surprise to us that she was chosen to serve on one of the National Book Foundation committees this year! Since March, Audrey has been receiving massive amounts of book mail (her favorite). She is one of 5 on the nonfiction committee for the and they are working their way to announcing their long list soon! We are honored to have her as a bookseller, and although we are worried about her giant panda stuffie Squish (peep him in the background), we’ve seen how awesome she is and just how many books she can read. Also, don’t forget to swipe and see her current favorite not-NBA read: Mazywood by Tananarive Due, coming out September 22nd from Saga Press Books!
