🐾💔 THEY NEED US NOW MORE THAN EVER. 💔🐾
Every day, frightened, abandoned, neglected, and unwanted animals arrive at the Humane Society of the Ohio Valley with nowhere else to go.
What many people don’t realize is that this incredible organization receives only about $7 per dog, while it costs around $30 per dog to provide the medical care, nutritious food, clean shelter, enrichment, and compassion every animal deserves.
Right now, they are at maximum capacity, and without continued community support, they could be forced to close their doors by the end of this year.
Think about that for a moment…
Where will these animals go?
Who will care for the ones with nowhere else to turn?
The staff and volunteers at HSOV are some of the most compassionate, selfless people you’ll ever meet. Day after day, they pour their hearts into caring for animals that have been neglected, abused, abandoned, or simply forgotten. They celebrate every adoption, grieve every loss, and continue showing up because these animals have no one else to fight for them.
Their hearts are big enough. Their resources are not.
At Black Dog Reserve, we’re asking our community to rally around them.
🐾 We’re now accepting donations at our store on behalf of the Humane Society of the Ohio Valley. Whether it’s dog food, cat food, treats, blankets, towels, cleaning supplies, toys, monetary donations, or other needed items, we’ll gladly make sure every donation gets into their hands.
❤️ Even better…
• Adopt if you’re ready.
• Foster if you have room.
• Volunteer if you have time.
• Donate if you’re able.
• And if you can’t do any of those today…
📢 PLEASE SHARE THIS POST.
One share could reach the person who adopts a dog.
One share could inspire someone to volunteer.
One share could bring in the donation that helps feed dozens of animals.
This isn’t about helping for one day.
This is about showing up consistently for the animals and for the people who refuse to give up on them.
Let’s remind the Humane Society of the Ohio Valley that they are not fighting this battle alone.
Together, we can keep tails wagging, kennels open, and hope alive.
