Our Grown-Up & Me: Sewing Workshop is a beginner-friendly sewing class for ages 6–12 and a parent, grandparent, or other special grown-up.

You’ll learn how to safely use your sewing machine while practicing measuring, cutting, pinning, and stitching as you complete your project together.

No sewing experience? Perfect! This workshop is designed for beginners.

Our new Grown-Up & Me: Sewing Workshop is designed for kids ages 6–12 AND their grown-ups to learn the basics of sewing together.

Each month we’ll tackle a new project while building real sewing skills. We’re starting September 26 with a beginner-friendly pillowcase project!

Never touched a sewing machine? That’s okay. We’ll start with the basics and work through the project together.

Saturday, September 26 | 9:00–11:00 AM | Belton | Ages 6–12 + a grown-up

It can be surprisingly hard to find places for teens to simply spend time together!

Saturday Hangout: Teen Edition gives ages 13–18 a relaxed, low-pressure place to connect with other local teens. We’ll have board games, card games, outdoor games, snacks, and a casual dinner. They can play something, join a group, or just hang out and talk.

Our September Science After Dark: Life in the Sea gives K–3rd graders two hours to explore the amazing world beneath the waves through hands-on science.

Young scientists will complete THREE experiments as they investigate buoyancy, insulation, ocean animals, and the incredible adaptations that help them survive.

What if your Saturday morning together ended with a brand-new skill AND something you made yourselves?

Join us for our first Grown-Up & Me: Sewing Workshop! Kids ages 6–12 and a parent, grandparent, or other special grown-up will learn to sew side-by-side in this beginner-friendly, hands-on class.

For September, we’re starting with a great first project: a pillowcase!

You’ll learn sewing machine basics, measuring, pinning, cutting, and stitching with plenty of help along the way. No previous sewing experience is needed for the child OR the grown-up!
