Fall is gathering at Marcella’s.

Our makers have been busy creating and restocking, and the shop is filling with pottery, botanicals and all those little things that make home feel like home.

Join us Saturday, September 12th for Fall Crawl — live music, vendor pop-ups and our first Sourdough Saturday of the season.

September brings many reasons to wander Main Street, greet a neighbor, support a maker and enjoy the simple pleasure of being together. We’ll be here, welcoming the season and filling the shop with pieces chosen to bring warmth, beauty and comfort to everyday life. 423 Main St, Belton, MO. Open Wed-Saturday 10-5

A few old favorites have made their way from the farm to the shop — including some of the art that has lived with us for years.

I’m curious… are there any other Andrew Wyeth fans out there? His quiet, spare landscapes and interiors have always spoken to me.

And I know there are a few Rebekah Knight fans around here, too. I’ve brought in several older framed pieces of hers — wildlife, of course — along with a rather eclectic collection of art gathered over the years.

Apparently even when I’m downsizing, I’m still gathering. Just in a different place.

New pottery has arrived.

I love how organic and beautifully wabi-sabi these pieces are—textural, imperfect, and very much at home with the natural world.

New art, handcraft, and carefully curated picks from some of my favorite vendors are slowly finding their spot in the shop.

Today is a big day.

After mowing the farm for the last time last week, today we sign the closing papers and officially turn the page to a new chapter.

I also have some work to do upstairs, so the shop will be closed today. Thank you for your patience and for encouraging me through this season of change. I'll see you tomorrow!

I'm ready for cooler temperatures, open windows, and the first hint of fall.

Every year I find myself drawn to handmade pieces that add warmth and texture to a home. These beautiful pillows are hand-crocheted by one of our newest local makers, and each leaf is stitched by hand.

They're the kind of pieces that don't just decorate a room—they make it feel lived in.

Fall is slowly making its way into Marcella's, and I couldn't be happier.

Some pieces don't ask for attention—they simply invite you to slow down.

This original watercolor by Amy McGuire has become one of those pieces for me. Every time I pass by, I pause for just a moment.

The photograph doesn't do justice to its scale, the quality of the framing, or the beautiful exposed deckled edges of the watercolor paper. It's one of those works that has to be experienced in person.

The past few months have kept me focused on life outside the shop, yet somehow the shop keeps becoming more beautiful. New artists, earthy pottery, hand-crocheted fall pillows, and thoughtfully chosen pieces have quietly found their way onto the shelves.

Sometimes the best reason to stop in isn't because you need something—it's simply because beauty has a way of restoring us.

Summer Hours

Through August, our hours may vary slightly as I care for family and navigate a few life transitions.

If the shop needs to close briefly during the day, I'll always post updates here on Facebook and Instagram.

Today I'll be stepping out for a short errand (the timing depends on a call from FedEx), but I'll reopen as soon as I'm back.

Thank you for supporting a small, family-owned business. Your kindness means more than you know.
