Our beef sources include only cow calf ranches that have decades of genetic development to produce consistent high quality beef. In 2021 Francis and Shannon Awerkamp purchased Kansas Premium Meats from Russ and Roxie Fulmer. The Fulmers saw the need to supply quality local beef in a retail environment back in 2000, and slowly built the retail store now located on Highway 24 just west of Belvue, Kansas. The Awerkamps continue to operate the retail store, offering Fulmer Premium Beef along with other quality local beef suppliers. Future plans include a smokehouse, meat cutting and packaging onsite, other local food production, and eventually a meat processing facility. Our purpose is simple: to provide easy access to the excellent beef raised and finished locally at everyday prices. In addition to premium beef, we also sell top quality locally raised pork and many specialty items such as beef sticks, summer sausage, Kansas cheeses, locally raised buffalo, Kansas raised elk, and much more.
