🥩 Fun Fact Friday 🥩
Did you know… the color of beef doesn’t always tell you if it’s fresh? 👀
Fresh beef can actually change color depending on how much oxygen it’s exposed to. Bright red meat has been exposed to oxygen, while darker purplish-red beef usually just means it hasn’t had much air exposure yet — especially in vacuum-sealed packaging 🥩
That color change is completely normal and happens naturally!
A lot of people think darker beef means it’s bad, but that’s usually not the case 😎
