These are beyond beautiful, and the artisans of these cushion covers are eager for sales as they have very little income at this time. The tatreez artwork on a pillow creates a feeling of warm hospitality to brighten up a space.

A friend of Star Street Shop recently had one of these pillows with her in a public space as she read and contemplated. A little girl walked by and remarked, "Daddy, look, that pillow is really pretty!" They really are eye-catching.

Hiring for two roles! Have you been wanting to help people in Palestine and haven't been sure how? This might be an opportunity. We are looking for:

1) A volunteer merchandising photographer: The Star Street Shop is looking for a volunteer to help with creative photography of the collections for sale. Volunteer work would be based in northern Minnesota and can be a one-time project this Spring 2025. We're looking for backdrops that are pretty and highlight the beautiful features of the items. (We don't think the current brown s**g carpet does the items justice.) Reach out if interested!

2) A volunteer web designer: Do you know how to create an online store? We have a wonderful storefront hosted at www.letzactforpalestine.com/how-you-can-help/support-artists-in-the-west-bank for the merchandise on-site in Bethlehem, and would like to do something similar for the merchandise at our U.S. distribution site in Minnesota. This role could be done from anywhere in the world in collaboration with the merchandising photographer.

Browse our collection of colored keffiyehs! Each one is stitched (not printed) and is a show of solidarity that Palestinian communities are requesting of people worldwide.

Did you know that the keffiyeh can be meaningful to people from cultures beyond Palestine? True story: A friend of Star Street Shop was wearing a keffiyeh on the street of a major city when someone from Lebanon introduced herself and expressed her thanks. The Lebanese woman explained that she had just lost her neighbors in a bombing, and that seeing a non-Arab person wearing this scarf meant a lot to her as she saw that non-Arabs cared about her grief and pain. The two women shared a heartfelt conversation and felt a warm bridge across cultures, thanks to this symbol of solidarity.

You're invited to visit Bethlehem through this gorgeously filmed video (25 min)! This is the beloved hometown of Star Street Shop. Most highly recommended are the first 16 minutes of this video as you'll see ancient holy sites, witness the apartheid, and learn about the recent lack of tourism which is devastating the economy of Bethlehem. (The second half features church leaders as well as a local charity that is not affiliated with Star Street Shop.)
