SUPPRESSOR // NFA UPDATE
There have been some pretty major developments surrounding suppressor sales and the NFA process, and I know a lot of you have questions about what this means moving forward.
Right now, Deadeye Dolls is waiting for clear, official guidance before changing how we process suppressor transfers.
There is a lot of information circulating about certain suppressors being transferred on a 4473 rather than through the traditional Form 4 process. While this is obviously exciting, there are still important details that need to be clarified — including exactly who qualifies, which suppressors qualify, and what FFLs are required to do.
Some dealers may choose to move forward based on their own legal guidance. For me, protecting my customers and my FFL means I’m not going to wing it when it comes to federal compliance.
Until I receive official guidance, suppressor transactions through Deadeye Dolls will continue under the current established process.
What I will say is this: inventory is depleting by the hour. If there’s a suppressor you’ve been wanting, I wouldn’t sit on it too long. Once everything is officially clarified, I expect inventory to move extremely fast.
As soon as I have something concrete, I’ll break it down in normal-person language 😂 and let y’all know exactly what changes, who qualifies, and what it means if you’re wanting to purchase a suppressor.
