So what does a person do on a smoky, hot day when you have to stay indoors? 🤔🏠 Well, play with pretty rocks! 🪨✨ Make rock zipper charms, rock sculptures, and organize the cabs in their new box we found at a garage sale. 📦😄

I sorted and organized my Cab collection. Most of the shaped ones were made by my dad, Fred. The free form pieces, I tumble polished. The Black bear tooth and claw is a story. I went hunting with my dad when I was 14, on the Mcquin strip in Oregon. We came home with a Buck and a black bear. (both in season) My sister Donna and I tanned the hide, and I made a necklace from the bear claws and tooth. Sadly those 2 pieces are all I have left of that necklace. The elk teeth came from Dad's elk hunting days.

I've been busy tumbling around. I just finished four tumblers. Hmm, what can I make with these beautiful stones? Some Hay Creek Polka Dot, Sheep Creek Agate, Gary Green Jasper, Stinking Water Plume Agates, petrified wood, and awesome Biggs Jasper and agate freeform cabs. The little pieces bordered with black tiger eye will make cool zipper charms or a couple of earrings.

A "not-so-little" girl sat on my small plant table and broke two legs off at our Rock, Art & Garage Sale. Carl did a superb job putting it back together. It is back in it's place and looking pretty.

Oh my, I went outside today and a family of pheasants came to visit.

Check out this amazing Thunder Headed Petrified Wood Bird Tray/Caddy! 🐦 This unique bird features a head of Thunder Egg, a neck of polka dot agate, and wings, body, and tail of petrified wood. It's another fantastic collaborative piece! My dad, Fred, found and cut the rocks, I tumble polished the slabs and designed the piece, and Carl worked his magic with the grout and wood finish. ✨
