MARQUETRY is the insane skill of inlaying woof into intricate patterns.
These pieces made by a craftsman in Sorrento, Italy are the hilt of the skills it takes to create such masterpieces. And, truly that is what they are - masterpieces! He, like most in Sorrento, begin training at an early age and it is a chosen path for the rest of their lives. Where has our passion gone? Where has our dedication gone? Where are humans
heading if we choose to rely on robots to build so we can buy cheap crap with no soul?
Why, when beauty and skill like this can reside within all of us, do we choose to continually support our laziness by enlisting robots, CNC machines, and computers?....oh, I think I just answer myself-we are lazy. I fall victim to this myself. And by force of the world construct we live in we all have to conform to an extent for survival. But, damned if this work hasn't inspired me to be less so and put more time into the details.

Routers can be intimidating and sometimes downright scary. But, with a bit of patience, education and practice, Routers can help make quick and clean work of otherwise tricky jobs like the one in this video.
