The year was 2000– and twenty six years later, when I tell you I had no idea footage of this historical moment existed, I tell no lie. I present yours truly and my backup babettes performing Tina Turner’s “I Don’t Wanna Fight” at our Senior year talent show.

I saw a single photo of this moment a few years ago, but today, my good friend from highschool sent this over to me. Her sister, also an old friend of mine, recently uncovered this gem among old VHS tapes, and had it digitized. Thank you, Maren and Kristen!

This round, we’ll have serving complimentary batch cocktails out front (both n/an and abv) amongst an even better “living room” in the driveway, with bigger rugs and more chairs to lounge on! (Looking to welcome a food cart if there is any interest!)

I revamped the mannequins to match the themes for this weekend, which is ‘Cirque du Bend’ on Friday, and ‘Sparkle and Shine’ on Saturday. Hopefully, these inspire you to come up with fun ‘fits of your own!

We are so excited for this year’s Homegrown Festival for so many reasons. The new Century Center location is perfect for bopping from the locals’ stage at , over to the bluegrass stage at , and then dancing to the Portland and out-of-town bands in and outside .

Some out-of-town sets I’m looking forward to most are and Friday evening, with an indoor VTP closer by . I’m stoked to catch some female energy Saturday evening with and , then a boogie down sesh with . And of course, so many other amazing bands sprinkled in between. I will NOT be staying still at any one stage for long, that’s for sure!
