Merry-Maker Masks (MMM) is a leather mask making business created by Caitlin Lucia. MMM is the result of years of honed craftsmanship and a lofty dream. Caitlin is the daughter of a theater family and as such, has spent her life on stage or behind the curtain. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from The University of Mary Washington, and has worked much of her adult life as both an actor and st
age manager. Caitlin’s creations started out as hobby, a way of de-stressing after a long running show. Eventually, Caitlin’s hobby became her love, then her obsession and finally her livelihood. Caitlin works primarily with leather, a more wearable medium, and eventually hopes to add a metallurgy aspect as well. Merry-Maker Masks are truly created by a merry maker. Her passion, creativity, joy, and love course through every piece that she creates. Merry-Maker Masks are inspired by elements from the Renaissance, Steam-Punk, Venetian, and by general whimsy. MMM also creates custom designs (Coplay, theater productions) for specific events through one-on-one contact directly with the artisan. She enjoys every aspect of creating but her most rewarding projects are those done with the collaboration of her customers. Caitlin lives in Bend, Oregon with her two dogs – Eros and Riley.
