Way back in 2014 Randi and Donna participated in a product pitch at Elephant's Delicatessen on Corbett. But alas, we were just a tiny emerging brand and not ready.⁠

Then business got real business-y and life got too life-y and all the sudden it was 2026 🤷‍♀️

We love their commitment to excellence, unity and sustainability. They have been serving their community since 1979. They are a Portland institution and and inspiration for food and beverage entrepreneurs, including us!

This morning I made sure to drink out of my "Do it like Dolly" cup.

And this photo shows another beloved cup which bears the simple phrase "Be a nice human."

Because we all stand to gain from starting each day with a a reminder to show a little more kindness and a LOT more humanity.

I am not one to ever wax poetic about the loss of a celebrity. But damn, this one just hurts.

And Dolly wasn't a celebrity, she was a legend.

As a kid growing up rural and at the poverty line she was a revelation.

As woman-owned business, Dolly has always been an inspiration.

As a person who always tries my best to be a good human, she will always be my idol.

The world lately is greedy, and mean and sharp. Dolly was none of those things. And that is why this one hurts so bad.

We're nuts for hazelnuts!

Every batch of Holm Made Toffee includes a generous amount of this delish Oregon-grown treat.

Most traditional toffees use almonds. But we believe in supporting local and sourcing local as much as we possibly can. So...when Donna Holm moved to Oregon in the early 90's hazelnuts became the name of the game!

Did you know:

🌰 Oregon produces over 99% of the United States' commercial hazelnut supply.

🌰 Designated as the state nut in 1989, the Willamette Valley acreage makes hazelnuts the #1 planted fruit or nut crop in Oregon.

🌰 Hazelnut trees can produce until over 100 years of age.

🌰 Also known as 'Filberts", trees were likely first introduced into Oregon by early French settlers.
